273!

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday season. Maybe you've even found a spare moment or two to get some stamping in! Here is this week's sketch!

Here's my take on it. I even made some of my own washi tape. In case you're wondering, I used the packing tape on designer paper technique. You just put tape on paper, make sure there are no air bubbles, then rinse it with warm water to peel off the paper. This leaves just a thin layer of the design on the tape, so it is still somewhat translucent.  I also did a little bit of paper piecing. I find that the images in this stamp set work particularly well with this technique

Supplies:
Stamps: Itty Bitty Blessings
Ink: Dark Chocolate
Paper: Kraft, Spring Rain, Kraft, Designer Paper, Apricot Appeal
Accessories, etc.: pop dots, brad, DIY washi tape

Ink: Pinefeather, Dark Chocolate, Scarlet Jewel
Paper: Soft Sky, White
Accessories, etc.: Stickles, In the Meadow die, Pop Dots

Here is today's video (and awful pictures). There is a Spectrum Noir Marker mini tutorial in there to introduce you to these fabulous markers hence making the video about a half hour. I don't think that you will get bored, at least I hope not!

FTL267, Happy Holidays

Hi there crafty people. I hope that you had a great weekend.

I don't know how Natasha does it, but week after week, we always have a great sketch to work from!

Today I made a Christmas card. After looking at the top of my print, a sleigh image really would have tied the card together but I was itching to break out this stamp set and coordinating die. I have more of the patterned paper so I will probably make a card using a sleigh image, at least that's the plan. I will get my light box put together soon as my lighting just does not do this card justice at all. It's so vibrate in person.

I hope that you enjoy this card and have a great day!

Photobucket EXPERIMENT! The color choices and Christmas-themed paper or even any kind of patterned paper would work.

Photobucket My tree is stamped using Aqua Mist. Use some colors that are blue from the color wheel.

Photobucket Although not mentioned above, I did use the Rock 'n Roll technique when stamping my tree with Hawaiian Shores ink.

FTL267 Peace on Earth

Her eis my take on FTL267.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the background.  The wreath is a 3D sticker from Jolee's.  Sentiment is from PaperTrey.

267!

Happy Friday!

Here's this week's sketch:
Here's my take on it. As you can see in my sample, the idea of the sketch is to have some sort of background pattern (I used words), and then place a larger item on top.

Supplies:
Stamps: Text Style I, Think Big Favorites #12
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Paper: Soft Stone, White, Basic Black
Accessories, etc. Felt, Moustache Die

266!

Here's this week's sketch. I'm certain I've done something like this before, but there are a few details here to note- the sentiment panel should either be framed with paper, ribbon, or something to that effect. The main image panel doesn't have to be on a circle, but it should be popped up to give it extra attention. I'm away from home this week so I made this week's card while visiting fellow design team member Chera. Being away also means that this post is coming to you from the iPad.

Here's my card. I ended up doing some fussy cutting with the snowflakes, but it's the look I wanted. For the sparkly border I used sticky strip and dazzling diamonds directly on the Island Indigo.

Supplies:
Stamps: Endless Wishes
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Island Indigo
Paper: Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Grey, White
Accessories, etc. : sticky strip, dazzling diamonds, stickles, 1-3/4 circle punch

If you play along, please leave a link!

FTL264, Puppy Blessings Christmas

Hello there crafty people. Today's card is so stinkin' cute! I was really excited to get this stamp set from Papertrey Ink since I have a brand new Dachshund puppy. Her name is Bella, she's 10 weeks old, and she's quite the little curious little girl. There's more about her on my blog. So of course I had to make a little Doxie card. My stamp set is Come All Ye Faithful (with die-cuts) and Stylish Sentiments: Holiday for my sentiment. I used Vintage Christmas from My Mind's Eye with Papertrey Ink True Black and Vintage Cream.  My ink is the new Memento Luxe, which I absolutely love. You can see the fab coverage on my Doxie image.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see us today!

Good morning!

Here's this week's sketch!

Supplies:
Stamps: Moustache set (from Hobby Lobby), Inside & Out Birthday II
Paper: Black, Basic Grey, White, Soft Stone
Accessories, etc.: Chevron ribbon, Scalloped Edge punch
